Youth Soccer Coaches/ Directors/ Players:
My name is Jonah Long, Bakersfield native who played professionally for eight seasons in the United Soccer League and abroad in Iceland. While playing in he USL with Charlotte we won a national title and appeared in the finals three times. I am writing to alert you to a no cost player enhancement program called “The Complete Player” that I will be offering High School age soccer players in the Bakersfield area who want to play at the next level.
FCA has one of the most dynamic athletic ministries in our country – and has been serving coaches & athletes faithfully for almost 60 years. I am honored to be working with former 9-year MLS player Ross Paule, who is the Excecutive Director of FCA soccer out of Memphis, TN. With his help I will be launching The Complete Player mentoring program in California.
Memphis is the the center for the FCA Soccer Resource Bank which will assist FCA Area Directors as well as non-FCA soccer ministries in their pursuit and acquisition of the best Christian themed soccer videos, FCA Soccer New Testaments, Tracts, Discipleship materials, clinicians, camp programming, etc.
FCA Soccer is both a direct ministry and an accelerator ministry, enhancing the impact of those already in Christian Sports Ministry by helping them to be the best stewards of the time, talent and treasure they receive.
